Privacy Policy

We collect only the information needed to provide the app's features:

• Account & identity. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image to create and authenticate your account.
• Financial account data (via Plaid). If you choose to link a financial institution, we use Plaid Inc. to securely retrieve account details such as account names, account types, balances, and transaction history (dates, amounts, merchant names, and categories).
• Information you enter. Budgets, savings goals, debts, to-do items, account categories, and notes you create in the app.
• Google Calendar (optional). If you enable calendar sync, we create and update calendar events for the goals and to-dos you choose to sync. We do not read your existing calendar entries.

We use Plaid to connect to your financial institutions. By linking an account, you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, available at plaid.com/legal. Plaid accesses your financial data in accordance with their policy and transmits it to RolwesFam so we can display your balances and activity. We do not receive or store your online banking credentials — those are handled solely by Plaid.

• To display your balances, transactions, budgets, goals, and debts.
• To calculate budgeting progress and savings projections.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To sync goals and to-dos to your Google Calendar when you request it.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial information with third parties for advertising or marketing, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to operating this application.

We share information only with the service providers that make the app work:

• Plaid — to connect to and retrieve data from your financial institutions.
• Google — for sign-in and optional Calendar sync.
• Our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Prisma Postgres) — to run the application and store your data.

Because RolwesFam is a shared household application, information you enter or link may be visible to other authorized members of the household.

Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. Access to the application is restricted to a small allowlist of approved Google accounts. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

• You can disconnect a linked financial institution at any time from the Balances page; doing so removes that institution's access token and its associated accounts and transactions from RolwesFam.
• You can delete budgets, goals, debts, to-dos, and accounts you've created at any time within the app.
• You may request full deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below.

RolwesFam is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
